Composition: it is a kind of Lincosamides antibiotics derived from cultures of the bacterium Streptomyces lincolnensis and used in the treatment of certain penicillin-resistant infections

Characteristics: Lincomycin Hydrochloride is white crystalline powder; almost odorless or faint odor; bitter in taste. It is freely soluble in water and methanol, slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in dimethylformamide and very slightly soluble in acetone. The PH value of its 10% solution is 3.0-5.5.

Pharmacological action: Gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin resistant strains), streptococcus, pneumococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, some kind mycoplasma and leptospira are sensitive to this product, while gram-negative bacteria and pasteurella, Klebsiella, salmonella, E.coli are resistant to this product. The major characteristic of this product is it has a very good antibacterial activity on anaerobic bacteria like Fusobacterium, peptococcus, Peptostreptcoccus productus, Clostridium tetani, C.perfringens and most actinobacillus are sensitive to this product.

Indications: it is mainly used to treat chronic respiratory diseases in chicken and infections caused by Penicillin-resistant staphyloccocus aureus rosenbach and Streptococcus; it can also promote the growth of chicken. Infections caused by sensitive organisms like pneumonia, bronchitis, septicemia, osteomyelitis, pyogenic arthritis and mastitis. It is also effective to swine dysentery, mycoplasmal pneumonia, poultry airsacculitis and Necrotic enteritis, and infectious pododermatitis.
